Robot 1 Robot’s Name: Shockat Mechanic: Mikhail Primary Frame: Child Frame Secondary Frame: Hybrid (Cat Aniframe) Core Type: Electric Core Stats- Electric Specialist Energy: 6 El Armor: 5 El Strength: 5 Firepower: 9 El Firepower2: 4 El Speed: 10 Processing: 10 Intellect: 5 Sentience: 5 Special: 1
Weapon Description: Shocker Claws Shockat's melee weapons are claws extending from her forearms that crack and hum with electricity. P3/R3/Ca3
Ball Lightning When fully charged Shockat creates a ball of electricity, and throws it at her enemies. P0/R0/Ch4
Special 1 Famous Mechanic Being partners with a famous mechanic has some perks, one of which is bringing in higher ratings for a fight or mission.
Flaws: (pending) Off-Balance 3 Kat's tail is more than just for aesthetics, it serves as both her power cord, and as a counter weight for balancing. If it is severed she must reduce her speed by half in order to maintain her agility. At speeds exceeding 50% of her total, her balance begins to steadily decline.
Seen from a mile away 2 Panels on the robot's body open up when charging up a buster shot. Since the system is too efficient the excess energy is bled off and expelled from these panels as well. This is easily seen by the naked eye.
Physical Description Shockat’s color scheme is hotrod red and silver. Her helmet has two large cat ears on it, and a silver plate on the front with a small black high voltage warning. Her chest armor and shoulder armor is a bit angular with small silver and black warning stripes around the panels that open up. Her forearms are red as well and have a hinge just behind the wrist which connects to her silver claws. The claws lay against her arm when not in use and will flip forward and lock in place for combat. Her lower torso is protected by an armored skirt that goes halfway down her legs, and has a tail extending from the back. The end of her tail is capped with a large plug that serves as her recharging plug as well. Shockat’s legs are slender compared to some other robot, built for agility. Compared to modern robots which have human like faces, she has a more retro look with golden colored optics and a silver faceplate with a few notches in it to look like small whiskers.
Bio Shockat is the name given to the standard CAT-3120 model that Mikhail uses. Mechanically she is a somewhat tweaked off the rack model sporting only a handful of internal modifications. She is a common sight around his shop and is frequently used as an aide in Mikhail’s classes. While she has a somewhat standard personality of a young robot, its secretly not true. The truth of the matter is the memory core of his old robot is buried deep inside, temporarily locked away. ~~~~~~~~
Robot 2 Robot’s Name: Kommandog Mechanic: Mikhail Primary Frame: Child Frame Core Type: Electric Core Stats Energy: 5 Armor: 5 Strength: 3 Firepower: 10 Firepower2: 10 Speed: 5 Processing: 6 Intelligence: 4 Sentience: 5 Special: 4
Weapon Description: Riflex2 P4/R3/Ca3 x2 On either arm above each wrist, mounted on the forearm, is a large caliber rapid firing rifle.
Special: 3 Armor Piercing Rounds Kommandog’s guns fire solid rounds capable of piercing through armor, rendering it less effective. Shots bypass the first four points of an enemy’s armor stat.
Special 1 Famous Mechanic Being partners with a famous mechanic has some perks, one of which is bringing in higher ratings for a fight or mission.
Flaws: (pending) Heavy Arms Kommandog has rather large and heavy forearms with a good amount of recoil, and when both of them are firing simultaneously they can get a bit hard to aim. When both guns are being fired at the same time his medium ranged accuracy goes down to spray, and at long ranges its spray and pray.
Physical Description: Kommandog has a body base of silver, with various degrees of blues and blacks on his armor. His head is silver with two small slats where his mouth would be, and a green visor for his optics that look like two large eyes that merged at the bottom. What looks like a blue to black camouflaged helmet sits on top of his head with a strap that dangled down on either side. The child frame’s upper torso is made up of a large blue wolf head with silver eyes and teeth, and black in some areas for shading, and below that is a black utility belt with blue armored plates for the combat skirt. His silver legs have blue kneecaps and blue feet with three silver claws on each foot. The shoulder pads on the robot are a bit large with what appears to be an ammo belt coming out of each one that connects to his main guns. His forearms are the same colored camo as his helmet, and appear as very large cylinders with silver rivets along the sides at each end. His arm plugs in at one end, and his hands and the barrels of his guns are at the other end. The ammo belts are strictly for appearance, serving no purpose, as well as the small bushy little tail at his lower back. They are there strictly for appearances only.
Bio Kommandog wasn’t always the way he was. He was originally purchased and built from and for the shop Mikhail works at to help teach about ranged combat. Then one day his body was taken away from him. Mikhail had given it away to one of his students who had taken a liking to the body model, but couldn’t afford a whole robot. Being disembodied didn’t last long. His mechanic had had his students pick out some parts around the shop and he showed them how to build a robot from the ground up, and Kommandog was born! He takes pride in being teamed up with a famous mechanic, but wants to stand out on his own in the public eye and not be compared to his older robot. ~~~~~~~~
Physical Description of Mechanic Mikhail is a man who appears to be in his mid to late twenties, and leads an active life. He has short combed back brown hair, and brown eyes which are covered by blue tinted sunglasses. He usually wears a dark blue shirt with a lighter hexagon in the middle of the chest which has smaller ones expanding form it and fading away. Mikhail also wears a pair of black pants with a pair of blue sneakers. The mechanic wears a pair of fingerless leather gloves on his hands, and what looked like a tight sleeve runs up his left arm and under the sleeve of his shirt. On the back of his left hand is a fiber optic tattoo of a stylized heart with a pair of swords, a date, and a kings head. It can only be seen when he decided to illuminate it. It had earned him the nick name King of Hearts back in the day.
Bio A few years ago Mikhail was once a very well known man when robot fighting was concerned. Along with two friends of his, he used to be a consistent moderate tournament winner, that is until he won a world tournament. They had come out of no where, with no sponsorships, or having won any major tournaments before hand. As far as the public knows the team disbanded afterwards with one member choosing to live a simple life, Mikhail disappeared for a few months before he was seen again at the edge of Old York opening up his own shop, and Donovan was never heard from again. Other than Mikhail, only a handful of government staff knows what happened.
It is true that one member left to live a simpler life, but Donovan and Mikhail were approached with the offer of a Live Mission. The Live Missions haven’t been around that long, and so getting some recent tournament winners in on a mission would boost ratings quite a bit. It took some negotiations, but the two agreed to work together one more time. What wasn’t known was the growing friction between the two friends. They had been battling since the MegaMan Tournaments, with Mikhail enjoying the rules and regulations being brought in for the Live Battles. Donovan on the other hand enjoyed the brutality of the old fighting ways.
Long story short, the mission failed horribly. The two were supposed to stop some small time smugglers and ended up stumbling upon a large cache of illegal, and very dangerous, parts among other things. An argument erupted as to what they should do with the parts, eventually leading to a fight. In the fight his robot’s nuclear core was exposed and eventually detonated. Mikhail was warped out of the area before the detonation and survived… somewhat intact. He had lost an arm in the events. A few months in the hospital, a top of the line robotic arm made to look like his real one, at no charge was all it took to buy his silence on the whole matter. He signed papers with various forms of law enforcement and government agencies to say he wouldn’t talk about the matter.
Some time after he returned to his old territory outside of Old York and opened up a shop to sell robot parts and kits. Sadly he couldn’t rebuild his old robot. Its parts were made by a company that had already gone out of business, and the model hadn’t been popular to begin with. Even if he COULD get a hold of the model and the other parts to modify it to his liking, he had signed a paper saying he’d wipe away any backups of his robot’s memory core. That wasn’t something he was going to do. He blocked what he was told to destroy, hid it away, and loaded up a standard personality out of the box. Shortly after opening shop he even began to teach classes on a regular basis on the basics of robot fighting for the live battles. He said he wouldn’t compete again, but he could still teach the fundamentals and help guide future mechanics to being respectful towards robots.
That is… until recently. For a reason not quite known he decided to come out of his retirement and start battling again, even going to the lengths of powering up the team’s old small airship, The Skycutter. He carried a picture of his old team, taken after the world tournament and has been asking around if anyone has seen Donovan.
